O Spoločenstve
Spoločenstvo Tolkiena (dalej len ST) je (registrované) združenie ludí,
fanov zaoberajúcich sa fantastikou a predovšetkým témou diel pána J.R.R.
Tolkiena. Našou prvoradou snahou je združovat ludí, ktorých Tolkienove
diela zaujali rovnako vášnivo ako nás a majú záujem
stretávat sa, či
komunikovať s rovnakou krvnou skupinou. (V kruhu nášho druhu hovoríme takýmto
ludom "Tolkien pozitive"). Dalšou našou snahou je zveľaďovanie mena profesora
Tolkiena, šírenie myšlienok a posolstiev jeho diela, ale tak isto osobne
prispievat k doplňovaniu informácii, ktoré by pomohli
zodpovedať niektoré
nejasné otázky. V rámci zbierania týchto informácii ST spolupracuje s inými
záujmovými skupinami, ci jednotlivcami (autormi, prekladatelmi, teoretikmi,
výtvarníkmi) so Slovenskej republiky, ako aj dalšími Spoločenstvami prevažne
z Českej republiky. Mimo týchto prioritných aktivít sa ST
podieľa na tvorbe
rôznych verejných stretnutí ludí zaoberajúcich fantastikou (conov), organizuje
takéto stretnutia a podporuje myšlienku takýchto stretnutí
svojou účasťou.
Vyhlasuje tiež rôzne autorské sútaže na Tolkienovskú tému, ci už sa jedná o
kreslenie alebo písanie a následne propaguje najlepších autorov.
No a nakoniec sa ST snaží svojim členom poskytnút jedinečnost a kúzlo, ktoré
urcite pocítili pri čítaní Tolkienových kníh tým, že pre nich organizuje a
vymýšľa rôzne stretnutia so zaujímavými ľudmi, párty, hry, výlety, vedomostné
kvízy, ankety, atd. Sčítané a podčiarknuté TOTO je naša Stredozem.

About The Slovak Tolkien Society „Spoločenstvo Tolkiena“
The Slovak Tolkien Society „Spoločenstvo Tolkiena“(further only ST) is a registered community of
people, who are interested in fantasy and mainly with themes which occur in the works of J.R.R.
Tolkien. Our primary effort is to join people; who are as passionately interested into the Tolkien
works as we are and have the interest to meet or communicate with same kind of people. Our next
effort is to raise the name of Professor Tolkien, to spread the ideas and messages of his work, but
as well contribute personally to fill in the information that could help to answer some of unclear
questions. Among of collecting this information is ST working with other interest groups or
individuals (authors, translators, theoretic, graphical artists) from Slovak republic and with
others Societies as well, mainly from Czech Republic. Besides these main activities is ST taking
part at different public events, for people dealing with fantasy (cons), is organizing such events
and supporting the idea of these events with its presence. ST is also announcing different
competitions with themes from Tolkien works as well as other fantasy themes, whether it is dealing
with painting or writing, and is propagating the best authors consecutively.
Finally, ST will offer to its members the uniqueness and magic, that they certainly had felt from the books of Tolkien in organizing and thinking up various events with interesting people, parties, games, trips, quizzes, surveys and so on. Counted up and underlined THIS is our Middle-Earth.
